Citizens Electoral Council candidate Lindsay Cosgrove has decided against completing a how to vote card, with his party saying they would prefer voters make up their own minds.
Bruce Nicholson of the Katter Australian Party lists independent James Harker-Mortock second followed by Jason Cornelius (Palmer United Party), Lynette Styles (One Nation), Adrian Van Der Byl (Christian Democrat Party), Lindsay Cosgrove, Michael Pilbrow (Country Labor Party), Angus Taylor (Liberal Party) and Zaza Chevalier (The Greens).
“I’ve always said people should vote their own way but I made the cards for people that need a bit of help in deciding," he told the Tribune.
He also said putting Labor above Liberal was all about making Hume more marginal.
James Harker-Mortlock has listed the other candidates in the following order - Bruce Nicholson, Jason Cornelius, Angus Taylor, Michael Pilbrow, Lynette Styles, Zaza Chevalier, Adrian Van Der Byl and Lindsay Cosgrove.
Michael Pilbrow has Bruce Nicholson second, followed by James Harker-Mortlock, Zaza Chevalier, Adrian Van Der Byl, Jason Cornelius, Angus Taylor, Lynette Styles and Lindsay Cosgrove.
Mr Pilbrow said he has respect for Bruce Nicholson and James Harker-Mortlock and said they share some views.
“We have a lot in common, so that’s why they are high up, and I also think Zaza for the Greens has a big career ahead of her.”
Angus Taylor has preferenced Adrian Van Der Byl, Jason Cornelius, James Harker-Mortlock, Bruce Nicholson, Michael Pilbrow, Lindsay Cosgrove, Zaza Chevalier and Lynette Styles.
Adrian Van Der Byl preferenced Angus Taylor, Jason Cornelius, Lynette Styles, Lindsay Cosgrove, Bruce Nicholson, James Harker-Mortlock, Michael Pilbrow and Zaza Chevalier.
Zaza Chevalier’s are herself, Michael Pilbrow, James Harker-Morlock, Jason Cornelius, Lindsay Cosgrove, Bruce Nicholson, Angus Taylor, Adrian Van Der Byl and Lynette Styles.
Ms Chevalier’s campaign manager Bill Dorman said the reasoning behind her order was that Labor is more aligned with the party’s policies than Liberal and One Nation are, for example.
At the time of writing Jason Cornelius had not given the Tribune his preferences.
