A Yass man has been charged with a string of offences related to burglaries at various aged care facilities around town.

Police charged the 46-year-old on April 11 after an extensive investigation by police from the Goulburn Local Area Command culminated in the man’s arrest by Yass police.
He was charged with six offences relating to aggravated break, enter and steal, drugs, and equipment for the administration of a drug.
He has an extensive criminal history and had targeted a number of aged care facilities within the district.
He has been granted conditional bail before appearing at Yass Local Court on April 16.
Senior constable on child sex charges
A Goulburn area police officer has been charged with the rape of a child.
The male senior constable has been charged with two offences, including having aggravated sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10.
He is also facing a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police say he was charged on April 17 and is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court on June 19.
Double demerits
Operation Go Slow will be in place during the ANZAC Day long weekend from April 24-27.
Highway Patrol will concentrate on raising awareness of the dangers of speeding, drink driving, fatigue, occupant restraints and distractions such as mobile phones.
Double demerits will apply to offenders.
Police charged two drivers with speeding during the long weekend double demerit period over Easter.
A 27-year-old woman from Cambridge Park was caught speeding 137km/h on Burley Griffin Way near the intersection with the Hume Highway, at 6.15am on Monday.
She was a green provisional driver. She was fined $815, lost 10 points and her licence was suspended until July 20.
A 19-year-old man was charged with speeding more than 45 km/h over the limit on the Hume Highway at 11.56am on Monday.
He would have been travelling at more than 155km/h in a 110km/h zone.
He was fined $2194, lost 12 points and his international licence was suspended for six months.
Caravan stolen
A 2009-model grey caravan was stolen from in front of a residence in Camden Street, Binalong, sometime between 9.40pm on Sunday April 6 and 7.40am the next morning. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or have information to assist police with the investigation is urged to contact police.
Items stolen from car
Police are reminding motorists to lock their cars when parking, after items were stolen on Friday April 11.
A white Mazda ute was left unlocked while parked at the rear of a Comur Street business. Offenders took several items of value sometime between 9am and 1pm.
