The mighty Yass Golf Club under 6s are coached by James Buser and are filled to capacity with 15 players on their books. With a beehive of activity at training all players are learning the trade of rugby league from a well-credentialed coach. All players are proud as punch on game day; all kitted out in their black and white strip and by all reports love it. James Martens has crossed for three tries to be the leading try scorer.
Under 7s
The Tanks Bakery under 7s are coached by Rob Field and have welcomed two new players to the team this year.
It is great to watch this team expanding their skill set and are starting to work as a team in defence and are also showing improvement in their individual attack also. Kylan Ebert is the leading try scorer with eight tries and also has 34 points to be leading point scorer for the team.
Under 8s
The Mac Digital under 8s are coached by Jason Howard and had one new player this year. The team is at capacity and are having a great year and are showing rapid improvement. With 12 tries and an overall points total of 60, Lucas McPherson is having a brilliant year to date as the top try and point scorer. The team went to this year's Dragons knockout where they did great and made the semi-final stage in the Division 1 grade.
Under 9s
The Club House Hotel under 9s are coached by Greg and Jai Smith and have four new additions to the team. In the non-competitive competition the team has had some great showings for the limited players they have at their disposal. Leading try and point scorer is currently shared between Timmy McPhillips and Charlie O'Brien with 10 tries each and 44 points overall. They are also currently missing Abby Brill through injury.
Under 11s
The DJ Butchers under 11s are coached by Darren Garner. The team has had two new additions this year and are also on full capacity for numbers. Currently running first in Division 1 with six wins and one draw, the team has taken up where they left off from last year by beating all comers.
Top try and point scorer is Thomas Carey with 11 tries and 46 points.
This team is looking well on track to go back to back with a title defence in September.
Under 12s
The Bessies Lawn & Garden Services under 12s coached by Michael Blyss have welcomed four new players to the game this year and are also at full capacity for numbers. Currently sitting in fourth position with four wins and five losses, the team is confidently competing in the higher division that they find themselves in from last year.
Tom Girdler with eight tries is the leading try and point scorer with 38 points. Another win should cement a spot in the finals again for this team.
Under 14s
The Hi-Way Motor Inn under 14s coached by Anthony Vitler are a combination of this year's 13s and 14s meaning the majority of kids are playing up an age group. Three newcomers round this team out to 21 players and they are currently sitting sixth with three wins and six losses. Two heartbreaking two point losses after the final hooter has cruelled this side from being in a higher positioned on the ladder.
Still a great result so far for this young team. Top try scorer is newcomer Bailey Pennell with nine tries from five games and leading point scorer is Cian Ebert with 40 points. Sadly Ebert is out for the season through injury and will be missed.
Under 15s
The Patricks Butchery under 15s coached by Peter Timmer have three new players this year, two that have returned and a new Binalong recruit. Currently they are running third in Division 2 with six wins and two losses and are starting to welcome back injured troops to start and strengthen their charge.
Top try scorer is Kyle Danilzack with eight and Angus Warner is top point scorer with 52 points.
They have an unflattering draw compared to the other top four competitors but will be battle hardened for the end of season if they can make it.
Under 16s
The M&J Forlonge Tiling under 16s are coached by Luke Brown and Greg Smith. They have eight new players this year with a sprinkle of returned Yass players and an influx of Harden players finalising the squad of 20.
Currently running third in Division 2 with four wins and three losses the team is starting to find their combinations and have recorded victories over both the ladder leaders already this season.
Top try and point scorer is Dylan Arabin with four tries and 39 points from seven games.
Potential season ending injuries for Wilson, Hill and Downey have hurt but they still have the squad to overcome these setbacks.
