Eric and John's friendship goes back to the early 1960's and both were able to reflect on numerous changes over time both in Yass and Sydney.
One of the most recent successful projects under Eric's guidance is the conversion of 'Shannon House' into the 'Ngunnawal Care Centre'.
Adjoining the Yass District Hospital, this former maternity area had been functionally abandoned and was made available for its current purpose around 1999.
Under Eric's leadership and manager Michael Bell, the 'Ngunnawal Care Centre' now operates on 'all fours' to service the social and health needs of the Yass indigenous community - however, Eric is quick to state that the hard-won facilities are available to the wider community.
Should any members of the public wish to visit the 'Ngunnawal Care Centre' or seek more information, Eric, Michael, Elizabeth or Laurrie are available on phone — 62263799.
