The third edition of the tournament will take place over one day, and three venues this Saturday.
For the first time, the seven-a-side cricket tournament will be split into A-grade and B-grade, with 15 teams vying for the two titles.
The A-grade has been divided into two pools (four teams in each) and will be played out of the Bookham and Bowning Recreation Ovals, while the B-grade teams will be stationed at Binalong Rec.
Oval canteens will cater for breakfast and lunch and DJ Ando will be playing music at Bowning throughout the day.
Event organiser, Andrew Swaffield, says it has gone from strength to strength since the inaugural tournament in 2012.
"Our aim is for this event to continue growing next year and beyond with more teams and more grounds. With the idea of having each club host a ground that attracts regional, social and even junior teams. Teams will then have an opportunity to run a profitable fundraiser on the day through canteen sales etc," he told the Tribune.
"A lot of hard work has gone into the coordination of this year's event by the Bowning Cricket Club committee, in particular Lee O’Mara, Peter Schofield and Duncan Burleigh."
The two clubs to have raised the Duncan Burleigh Shield are the Yass Golf Club and North Canberra.
Due to the increasing popularity of the competition, the Yass, Binalong, Bookham, Goondah, Murrumbateman and Harden teams, will be joined by the Ginninderra Tigers and the Goulburn Reds, who will have both fielded teams in A-grade.
Again this year there'll be cases of beer up for grabs for hitting any of the boundary signs located around the grounds.
There'll also be novelty throwing competitions before the grand finals, as well as the presentation ceremony and after party at Bowning Hotel on Saturday evening.
Swaffield wants to thank major sponsor Energy Options, plus the Bowning Hotel, Greg Chappell Cricket Centre and DJ Ando.
It will be a great day for cricketers and spectators alike, so get down to any of the three venues from 8.45am.
