Police wish to inform residents about a spate of stock thefts in the Yass Valley over the last month.

Sheep have been specifically targeted and a number of property-owners have contacted police having lost stock.
Detective Inspector Chad Gillies encouraged residents to be vigilant and to be sure to report any suspicious activity.
“We need landowners to ensure that their gates and fences are locked and that if they see anything that is out of the ordinary, they contact police,” he told the Tribune on Wednesday.
A 17-year-old girl crashed her Holden Astra on Cooks Hill Road at about 6.45pm on Tuesday night. It was a single vehicle accident and police believe road conditions may have been a factor. The girl was taken to Canberra Hospital to be treated.
A stack of bricks were stolen outside a property in Gunning between 4pm Saturday February 28 and early on Sunday March 1.
The bricks were located on Biala Street and had an estimated value of around $600.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Yass Police.
A 44-year-old man, driving a silver Ford Falcon on Pritchett Street, was stopped for a breath test at about 4.30pm on February 28.
He returned a positive roadside result before he was taken to Yass Police Station where he returned a mid-range reading of 0.094. Police suspended his licence and issued him with a court attendance notice.
A wool press, valued at $14,000, was taken from a shed near Dalton sometime between 5pm February 26 and 7am February 27.
The shed is located on a property on Dalton Road and investigations are continuing.
