A chilly evening out didn’t deter around four dozen residents from attending the Fit for the Future and Connect meeting at the Bowning Hall on Tuesday evening. With refreshments and warmth within the hall the large group listened to Mayor Rowena Abbey and Council General Manager David Rowe throughout their presentation holding well thought out and really insightful questions until the end. This helped with understanding the implications of the Scenario options and how Council might move forward from here. The Council gave the impression that both the Working Group and Community concerns had and would continue to be considered. Not all attendees were overly impressed by the angle or responses from Council, but do feel a little more informed.

After the group had a cuppa at the Hall a portion made their way to the Bowning Hotel to continue with conversations and ideas around the welcoming fire.
Thank you to all who attended and stood proud for our community, and for showing your support for Bowning which will hopefully push forward an interest between Council and our community.
Congratulations to Bowning Public School student Emmily-Rose Cairns for making it through to the next level at the Regional Cross Country at Cambewarra, aged 8 years.
Happy Birthday to Cyril Cox, I do hope your day has been filled with cheek and laughter.
Keep Well To All
