With the current pace of the course there have been some surprisingly good scores coming in through the cooler months and another came in last Saturday in the stableford competition. Phil White managed 41 points, 3 over par, to take out the A-grade prize, closely followed by Adam Danilczak, on 40 points. In the B-grade Jamie Roche had 37 points to win by one over Alex Walker. In Sunday’s Flag event 23 players attempted to break their handicap after 18 holes to carry the flag up the first hole to see who could get furthest through the course. After all the rounds had been completed there were only four players that had broken their handicap by one shot. They were Peter Ellis, Ray Colburn, Mark Partridge and it was Michael Walker who got the prize, with the longest drive off the first hole. Well done to Phil and Michael for their wins over the weekend. This Saturday is the On Trend Clothing Guzzlers Mug, followed by the Yass Junior Open on Wednesday, sponsored by Yass Nursery.

Dad’s Army competition for June 25
A foggy start to the Dad's Army competition last week, but otherwise the ten Troops had a pretty good morning for golf and it was Wilbur ‘The Travelling Man’ Whyte that made it two wins in a row after winning the count back with 16 points. Sorry Wilbur but you've done another stroke. Edgar Mongan with 16 points and Les Puckett 15 points, collected the two balls on offer. Scoring ranged from 16 down to nine points.
Until next week good golfing ‘boys’.
