These young men come to the Shed every Tuesday morning and are mentored by a number of other Shed members in a range of activity and skills to do mostly with wood working or metal working.
Over the last 3 or 4 years, quite a number of VALMAR projects have been undertaken including a very grand dog kennel (another is in the process right now), letter boxes, coat and boot storage devices, dolls houses (Christmas presents for family members) and the like.
The VALMAR presence is one that is highly valued at the Shed. It seems that they enjoy it too, because from time to time, they put on morning tea or a barbecue to thank Shed members for their friendship and help.
This is a relationship that works very well in both directions.
