Despite the challenging conditions, local Paul Box got off to a blistering start and had his eyes on the High Gun prize early with what turned out to be the only perfect score shot over the whole day, which put red on the scoreboard.
Although he shot beautifully, he was 10 points from the high gun at the end of the day, but he did manage to take out the trifecta, winning all three events for 'B' grade.
Visiting junior ladies shooter Amy Smith handled the conditions very well and claimed a share of High Gun, with Paul Watchorn. Amy and her Dad, Justin Smith, will be representing Australia at the 2016 World DTL Championships in Ireland next month. We wish them all the very best.
Congratulations to all the winners but for those who didn’t get into the winner's circle, keep practicing and remember that the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything is 42….
