Former NRL player Luke Branighan and development officers Adam Kyle and Aaron Peat led the clinic with fun-based activities, such as tag and mini agility games.
The development officers said the clinic introduces participants to core rugby league skills.
“Our main goal is to show rugby league and encourage them to play,” Mr Kyle said.
“There’s no tackling today. It’s just the basic skills to show them a bit of fun. When the Canberra-region competition starts again next March, we’re hoping to see the kids register and play for the Yass Magpies,” he said.
Each participant received a PLAYNRL School Holiday Pack, which includes a ball, tee, backpack, pump, hat and water bottle.
Additional clinics:
- Cootamundra—Tuesday, October 4
- Temora—Thursday, October 6
