Plan B had to be put into action to allow for the golf to go ahead.
This meant that the 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 18th holes were missed with extra holes being played on the front nine, meaning the course was only a par 65.
No par 5s were played. The shortened course meant it was not in a championship state.
Therefore, the Elders 4BBB championships rescheduled until after the Men’s Championships.
The shortened course suited some players. Wayne Wilson, being one of them, winning the A-grade prize with an outstanding 57 net in Saturday’s event.
Wayne Biddle won the B-grade prize with a 64 net.
In Sunday’s event, Matthew Auld won the day’s prize with a 60 net.
Almost all ball winners over the weekend hit under par scores, which is something rarely seen.
With daylight saving starting this weekend, it also marks the commencement of the Business House Golf competition
