The show is a national competition discovering Australia’s best fine food producers and also at the Australian National Olive Oil Competition, which highlights the best of Australian olive production.
Homeleigh Grove won a gold medal in Sydney for its Lemon Myrtle flavoured Olive Oil and two gold medals in the Australian National for its Early Harvest Extra Virgin oil and (again) for its Lemon Myrtle flavoured oil.
It also won champion of class for Wild Lime and Chilli flavoured oil, as well as several silver medals for other Extra Virgin and flavoured oils.
Homeleigh Grove’s wins places its product as a leader within the fine food industry.
Sally Evans, Chair, Sydney Royal Fine Food Show said all winners were selected by a judging panel of industry specialists, who aim to select the best in Australia while nurturing the growth of producers nationally.
Hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, the competition aims to promote Excellence in Agriculture among all industry stakeholders.
The Sydney Royal Fine Food Shows attract exhibitors from across Australia.
About Homeleigh Grove
Homeleigh Grove is a highly successful boutique grove established by Peter and Caroline O’Clery on the homestead block of the former Homeleigh pre-federation grazing property north of Canberra, close to the historic village of Hall on the ACT/NSW border.
It is undulating country with spectacular views over the Brindabella Hills.
Established in the late 1990s, the Grove today has over 2000 trees most of which are for oil production.
However, about 100 trees were specifically planted for table olives.
Homeleigh Grove has been spectacularly successful with its “Homeleigh Grove” and “Lowanna’s Paddock” Extra Virgin Olive Oils and with its unique range of infused oils which use only award winning Australian Extra Virgin Olives oil as their base.
It also produces some excellent local table olives as well as fine vinegars and vinaigrettes, including a sensational Citrus-Apple Vinegar.
Homeleigh Grove is a signatory to the Australian Olive Industry Code of Practice for Extra Virgin Olive Oil and complies with the Australian Standard for Olive Oils AS5264-2011.
It is a producer member of the Australian Olive Association, Southern Harvest and Slow Food Canberra Convivium. Homeleigh Grove also won a prestigious trophy in the 2015 Armonia International Olive Oil Competition, held in Rome.
