Three people have been killed in a light plane crash near Mount Gambier airport in South Australia.
The plane crashed near the intersection of Walker Road and Sunnybrae Road, Suttontown, just before 10.30am.
While emergency services rushed to the scene, there were no survivors.
The plane was a single-engined Tobago, but the spokesman said it was unclear what the nature of the flight was.
SA Police's Major Crash and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will attend to assist investigations into the crash.
Drivers should avoid Walker Road, which has been closed to traffic between Hinton Road and Sunnybrae Road.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will conduct an investigation.
It's the second serious plane crash in South Australia in the past two months.
In May a Rossair plane crashed near Renmark, killing all three people on board.
