On the evening of Thursday, January 4, Binalong Pool was broken into and extensively damaged, along with the community funded Skate Park.
Furniture was thrown into the pool, as well as a brand new vacuum cleaner, which was “completely destroyed” in the incident.
How much?
The vacuum, valued at over $6,000, was only purchased at the start of this season and the “mindless act” means that another new piece of equipment cannot be purchased for the Binalong pool and community for the 2018 to 2019 season.
The post stated that “we know the community of Binalong is a close one and we are pleading with the community to help us find those responsible.” Council urges anyone who might know anything about this incident to please contact Yass Police Station - 6226 9399.
