Upper Lachlan Shire Council General Manager John Bell said the Draft Plan of Management identifies the important features of the land, clarifies how Council will manage it and how it may be used or developed. It will also provide a framework for the future operational and strategic use and management of the land.
“Council has prepared the Draft Plan of Management to meet legislative requirements of the Local Government Act 1993, reinforce and conserve the land’s values and ensure the use of the land is in-line with the public’s expectations,” Mr Bell said.
“I would encourage anyone with an interest in the Draft Plan of Management to make a submission before Friday, 9 February 2018. Submissions received during the exhibition period will help inform the final Plan of Management.”
Copies of the Draft Plan are available to view on Council’s website (www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au/draft-plan-management-pye-cottage-precinct), at Council’s Crookwell and Gunning offices, and at both Crookwell and Gunning Libraries.
Submissions regarding the Draft Plan may be made via post to: JK Bell, General Manager, PO Box 42, Gunning NSW 2581 or email: council@upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au and will be received from Thursday, 11 January 2018 to Friday, 9 February 2018.
