A motorcyclist has had his licence suspended for riding while under the influence of alcohol on the Hume Highway on Sunday, April 22.

The 19-year-old male from Tumut also received a court-attendance notice to appear before Gundagai Court on May 17, 2018, for the offence of riding with a high-range PCA.
NSW Police said that at about 10.25am on Sunday, they received several complaints from the public in relation to a black sports bike “travelling well in excess of the 110km/h speed zone” southbound at Jugiong.
Members of the public described that the rider had an L plate tied to the backpack he was wearing.
At 10.45am on the same date, Police attached to Gundagai Highway Patrol located the bike and rider (matching the descriptions) on the side of the Hume Highway near the Coolac bypass.
The rider was asleep beside the bike.
After several attempts, Police managed to wake the rider who then produced a learners rider licence.
The male admitted to riding just prior to being spoken to by Police.
He also said that he had been consuming alcohol all night in Canberra before commencing riding to Tumut.
The rider underwent a roadside breath test and returned a positive result.
He was arrested and conveyed to Gundagai where he underwent a breath analysis, returning a reading of 0.152
