Hikers reached new heights, walking, quite literally, to the highest point in Yass Valley.
It was worth it, however, for the impressive views at the top and a quick descend was encouraged by a barbecue, Bowning Rural Fire Brigade firefighter and cavalry demonstrations at the bottom.
The next Can Assist Yass Valley Branch event is the Bowning Country Fair at Rollonin Cafe on November 19.
