Over 60 wines, beers and spirits from the Canberra District were poured at Yass Soldiers’ Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 17.
“The event is going from strength-to-strength. My wife and I had a lot of fun pouring wine and are looking forward to doing it again next year,” Mr Crowe said.
More than 150 people came to town for the event, dozens of bottles were sold and a jolly good time was had by all.
“[It was] absolutely sensational,” organiser Harvey Walsh of Yazzbar said. “Many came from Canberra; Wayne Kelly on piano was magnificent; and it was so nice to see the Yass Soldiers’ Memorial Hall being fully used.”
Aside from trying lots of local and delicious products, everyone agreed it was also a great opportunity to meet new people.
“I named my company Local Spirits because of the amazing connection and support I have found in the Canberra region between producers and locals. Yazz Wine Fest was an amazing and friendly event, where producers and consumers could form a great connection and appreciation for their products!” Ben Osborne said. “I had the best time and made so many friends.”
