Crews responded to four other fires between then and 7.30am at 836 Dog Trap Road, Yass; Dairy Creek Road, Gundaroo; Dicks Creek Road near Gundaroo; and Sutton Grange Road, Woolgarlo.
The tree fires at Wee Jasper Road, Marchmont and Sutton Grange Road, Woolgarlo continued to burn into Wednesday afternoon.

“Further thunderstorms, that will bring more lightning, are predicted for the remainder of the week,” operational officer for the NSW RFS Southern Tablelands Zone, Daniel Osborne, said.
“If there is lightning, especially on a rural property, we ask residents to inspect the property when it is safe to do so and report any fires to 000 to allow us to deal with them as soon as possible.”
