A dust storm, stirred up by today’s strong winds, is making its way eastwards across NSW.
Health authorities warn that people with respiratory illnesses or problems should stay indoors and take precautions.
The dust tracked through the Riverina earlier this afternoon and hit Canberra around 4.00pm.
There are reports of limited visibility on some highways in the Central West.
The dust is expected to reach coastal areas tonight ahead of a developing cold front.
