The Yass Show Society is looking forward to holding the 156th Yass Show this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday March 23 and 24.
Thanks to the volunteer organisers and the sponsors, you will be able to enjoy all the agricultural and horticultural events and competitions you look forward to in any great country show.
The 2019 show will continue to feature popular events and attractions including the antique farm machinery, shearing competition, yard dogs, wood chopping, vintage and veteran cars, show jumping, and all the horse and livestock competitions that always make this event a truly agricultural show.
Entertainment will include the annual PBR Bullride, as well as baby and small animals.
PBR Bullride is actually pretty popular too, and it will take place on Saturday evening from 6pm, so make sure you plan your exploration of the show to include this exciting spectacle.

Many participants have entered their furry friends to the Pet Competition, or the beautiful hounds of the Championship Dog Show.
To help support the longest running event in the Yass Shire, locals and visitors alike can become members of the Yass Show Society. These members are at the heart of a successful Yass Show.
Membership of the Yass Show Society closes on Friday, March 22, 2019. Members get access to the showground both days of the show and free parking.
Members can come and go as many times as they wish over the show weekend - there are no pass outs for day ticket holders.
Members are also entitled to free parking on the showground (non-members will be charged $5 per vehicle).
By ticking the ‘volunteer’ box on the membership form, members can also get a behind the scenes experience of how a country show is managed, meet some of the show supporters who have given thousands of hours of their time to the Yass Show, and also have plenty of time to enjoy the weekend.
Alternatively, entry at the gate for adults costs $20 for Saturday and $15 for Sunday. But remember, there are no pass outs if entry is purchased at the gate.
Oh, and don't forget to vote in the March 23 NSW election before you go.
