Liberals
Wendy Tuckerman
We have committed $8 million for the Yass Hospital redevelopment project, providing 24-hour access to emergency care, an additional treatment bay, dedicated ambulance entry point, an increase in inpatient beds, improved health facilities and access to X-ray services, as well as $3.7 million for the Yass Ambulance Station.
Animal Justice
Tracey Keenan
Improve health services, conditions and equipment; more nurses to the ratio of patients; improve TAFE so we can offer more courses to further education in fields they wish to pursue; and improve home services and more staff so nurses/carers aren't forced to exhaust themselves by doing back-to-back shifts.
Greens
Dr Saan Ecker
Better public healthcare services and improved patient care will come from ending public-private partnerships and properly funding local hospitals. Specifically, increased investment for Goulburn Base, Crookwell District and Yass Hospital (including a maternity wing at Yass) is required. I am committed to providing specialised mental health support to rural areas.
Shooters, Fishers & Farmers
Andrew Wood
Shooters, Fishers and Farmers will fight for a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio statewide and this alone should improve health care in the region. We'll also be pushing to have the Yass Hospital upgrade be more than window dressing and have a proper improvement of clinical care in this facility.
