A 23-year-old ACT man has been charged with firearms, drug and property offences after a vehicle stop in the Adjungbilly area, south-west of Yass.

On Saturday April 27, about 7pm, police said they spoke to the 23-year-old driver of a vehicle that was stopped on Three Ways Road, Adjungbilly, near the front gate to a property.
Police searched the driver and vehicle and allegedly found a small amount of methyl-amphetamine, an ice pipe, a .22 rifle, a loaded .308 rifle, ammunition and a set of stolen keys.
The man was arrested by police and charged with two counts of 'possess unauthorised firearm', 'not keep firearm safely', 'possess ammunition without holding licence/permit', 'possess prohibited drug', and 'goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen'.
The offender is due to appear before Yass Local Court on May 17.
