It began last weekend. The YNA sent an Under 15s side to the Senior State Titles, which were held in Camden over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Across the three days, the Under 15s won seven matches, drew three, and lost eight, to finish sixth on the ladder.
YNA president, Sue Jephcott, praised the Under 15s.
"We're super-proud of how well they've done," Jephcott said.
"They've improved from last year and we actually had feedback from other umpires and associations saying the girls have come along really well.
"They're good sports, and that doesn't go unnoticed by other associations."
On the back of the Senior State Titles, the YNA will host its biggest fundraiser of the year this weekend.
The annual Trivia Night fundraiser has become a fixture on the YNA calendar, and this year will feature a number of exciting events for patrons. Along with the trivia contest, there will be other games and an auction.
"It seems to have been quite successful for us, so we're hoping that this year will be no different," Jephcott said.
"We're just hoping that people come along and have a good night."
Jephcott said that the association doesn't have a specific fundraising goal in mind, and that the money will go towards ensuring that the YNA players, equipment, and programs are as well-funded as possible.
"Our local competition [needs funding], which starts from the NetSetGo kids, the kids that are coming right through the program to ensure that we can retain players for as long as we can. Introducing them to games and netball skills early helps to retain them later," she said.
"But all those things cost money, so we're always looking to upgrade equipment ... there's always plenty of things to think about when we're spending funds for the club."
The money will also, in part, support the club's representative players.
The YNA will be selling tickets for Trivia Night this Friday at the netball courts from 5pm-7pm. Tickets are $90 for a table of 10 or $10 for an individual ticket.
The Trivia Night will be held from 6pm on Saturday June 15 at the Yass Golf Club.
