Emergency crews have been busy this morning helping residents with broken windows and fallen trees as wild winds persist across the southern region.

The Yass State Emergency Service (SES) Unit was called to three jobs.
In Ford Street, wind damaged a window and outside of town, at Jeir, a tree fell across a driveway at 10am.

A large branch also fell into the yard of a Pritchett Street home but did not damage property.
The unit is expecting further calls this afternoon as residents return home to find damage, Yass SES Unit local controller Kurt Bailey said.
"We're here to help," Mr Bailey said.
For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
It's eight degrees at Canberra Airport but the apparent temperature is zero (at 1.34pm), according to the Bureau of Meteorology. The top wind gust was 72 kilometres per hour at 4.30am and has ranged between 50-63km/h throughout the day.
Snow is forecast across the region on Saturday and Sunday, with tops of seven and eight degrees in Yass, respectively.
There have already been reports of snow at Captains Flat and police are urging motorists to avoid non-essential travel.
"We understand it's nice to see the snow but the risks are high, and for people's personal safety we urge motorists to avoid non-essential travel and minimise where they need to go in the icy conditions," Inspector Matthew Hinton of Yass Police Station said.
