A major review has been undertaken regarding arts funding arrangements in NSW. Fourteen different types of grants for arts and cultural activity have been collapsed into three grant options, being Projects, Creative Koori and Annual Organisations, that will be available through Create NSW. There will now be only two funding rounds per year across the three grant options.

I am delighted that NSW Arts Minister Don Harwin announced at an exhibition opening at Goulburn Regional Gallery in February this year that the Create NSW Regional Roadshow was coming to Goulburn to talk about grants. Little did we know then that there would be a complete revamp of the arts funding models for NSW.
The Create NSW grants information session will be on Tuesday, August 20 at 10.30am-12.30pm and will focus particularly in the new arts funding streams available for arts and cultural projects including information on the specific categories, what has changed from the previous guidelines, how to apply and an opportunity to ask any questions.
This grant information session is the only opportunity to hear from Create NSW about the new funding programs in the Southern Tablelands Arts region so save the date and book in at www.eventbrite.com (search 'arts and cultural funding' in Goulburn).
In addition, Create NSW are offering artists one-on-one consultations with Create NSW staff about your application. These Lab Sessions will take place after the presentation from 12.30-2.30pm. Bookings are essential through www.creatensw.appointlet.com.
