Comprising of Berinba PS, Bowning PS, Dalton PS, Gunning PS, Rye Park PS, Wee Jasper PS, Yass PS, Yass High and Boorowa Central School, the learning community hold events and extra curricula opportunities for students throughout the year.
Most recently, we held the 'Art and About' project combined with an Education Week concert, which was a tremendous success.
Coming up on September 19, our students will join together to learn about and explore Aboriginal culture in our third annual NAIDOC celebration. The day will be held at Jo O'Connor Park and will begin at 10am with a traditional smoking ceremony.
Community members and families are invited and encouraged to attend. Students will be wearing, red, yellow and black and will be participating in a wide range of cultural and sporting activities throughout the day. There will be a range of support services on hand to demonstrate how they can support families in our region.
On October 28, we will be holding our Book Week parade and activities in Banjo Paterson Park. This day is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses and families to encourage reading and engage with students of all ages.
