Three Yass Valley schools are thrilled to be going, but the event comes with a cost.
The students require accommodation, transport, food and kit for the five-day trip between November 19-24. Schools have been busy fundraising and a now a helping hand has come from a local business.
Robertson's Landscape Yard has donated $500 to Yass Public School's 12 Schools Spectacular students.
This is the fourth year the school has participated and principal Michelle Fahey thanked the business.
"We really appreciate it in such tough times to have small businesses supporting the interests of the school," Mrs Fahey said.
The donation was driven by the business' new manager, Richard Novak, whose son goes to the school and will be going to Schools Spectacular.
"I had heard how expensive it is and wanted to help the kids get there; to give the younger generation a head start in drama and performance," Mr Novak said.
The school has also raised around $900 selling flower bulbs, $1100 from a disco, $1200 from the athletics carnival canteen and $490 from a cake stall.
Binalong Public, Berinba Public and Yass High School have also been selected to participate in Schools Spectacular's 2700-voice choir.
Performances of Schools Spectacular will be at QUDOS Bank Arena on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November and broadcast by Channel 7.
