The annual Heritage Trades Trail brings together 100 artisans in whip-cracking, blacksmithing, glass artistry, embroidery, violin-making and more across Bathurst's most historic venues on 28-29 March. There are also workshops, local music, food, drink and entertainment.

A cultural food festival in the NT
The Taste of Kakadu food festival returns with a 10-day program of locally inspired food events.
You'll find pop-up degustation dinners, cooking demonstrations with traditional owners, bush-tucker walks, hunting and gathering talks as well as campfire stories.
It will take place in World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, setting the event against the landscape of the local Indigenous Bininj/Mungguy people. The festival will be held 22-31 May 2020 and visitors will require a Kakadu National Park pass.

Calling all soccer fans
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar will be building some futuristic hotels to host visitors during the event.
Sixteen floating hotels are planned and will be identical with each offering 101 rooms, a restaurant, as well as a spacious lounge bar. Some of these properties will also float offshore from Qetaifan Island North, close to the site of Lusail Stadium which is currently under construction and will host the World Cup's opening game and the final.
The artificial island is being developed as a key tourist destination for Qatar, boasting seven beaches as well as a range of other attractions. The country has also hired two ships from MSC Cruises to serve as hotels for visitors during the World Cup.

May the force be with you
If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll be in for a treat. A new hostel in Reykjavik, Iceland, has popped up.
The Galaxy Pod, which is located in the centre of the city, looks more like a spaceship than a hostel. Instead of sleeping in bunks, guests will sleep in individual pods which are stacked on top of one another.
Aside from the comfy bedding, the pods come with a security box, mirror, fans, power points, a shelf, an alarm clock and hangers. Some even have televisions. Each of the pods has a privacy screen and adjustable lighting so you can choose a setting that is right for you.
For families and couples, there are rooms with king-size bunks and kids can share a bed with a parent for free. There are also larger rooms for groups.
