Despite the intense heat over the weekend, the annual Titty Cup charity softball match took place on Saturday morning, and smashed its all fundraising expectations.

Though the event was called off at 11am as the temperature soared to over 40 degrees, more than $17,000 brought in on the day, and event organiser and Bowlo Dodgers captain, Cazz Blyss, said the local support was "awesome".
"We raised ten grand last year, so anything above that I would've been happy with," she said.
"Obviously the crowds were down because of the heat so there weren't many spectators there to buy the merchandise, but to have the sponsors and general public and local businesses on board prior to the game, we're lucky to live in such an awesome community."
The yearly fixture, which began in 2017, pits the Bowlo Dodgers and Aussie Heat against one another and has raised money for a number of different charities and struggling locals over the years.
This year, the funds raised will be donated to the Yass Valley SPIN Foundation, which supports local residents suffering from medical conditions.
"What an absolutely amazing community we live in," the foundation said on its Facebook page.
"An outstanding effort made by the organisers of the Annual Charity Softball match between the Aussie Heat and Bowlo Dodgers at Walker Park this morning.
"Unfortunately the game was cut short due to the extreme heat but the sponsorship and donations were far from short. The teams raised over $17,000 and have donated the cheque to our Foundation.
"100% of these funds will be distributed within our very own community to those in need of medical assistance.
"Local sponsors, local players, supporting our locals in need. What more could you ask for."
Each year, team captains come together to decide which charity or cause to support, and Blyss described the decision to donate to SPIN as a "no-brainer".
"I think it's fantastic that everyone's gotten behind [the match]," she said. "I think the community should be very proud of themselves."
In the first three years of the competition, the Dodgers emerged victorious.
However, it was the Heat's turn to claim the win this year, and they did so quite comfortably in the end.
"I think the final score was 21 to 4, so they won quite convincingly against us old girls," Blyss said.
"Both teams have recruited new players and it was great the Heat could get the win."
