Single-vehicle crash claims man's life in Sutton

The incident took place around 6:15pm on Monday, February 24, after the male occupant of the car crashed into a tree.

The 46-year-old male driver has not been formally identified by the police.

"The driver was travelling in westerly direction on the road when he collided with the tree," a Monaro Police spokesperson said.

"Emergency services arrived at the site shortly after the crash but the driver could not be revived."

The matter is currently being investigated by the Monaro Police District.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
