It was a lucky escape for a pilot who managed to walk away from his crop duster after it crashed in a NSW South West Slopes field.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Lismore Road, Cootamundra, at about 2.30pm on Monday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said initial reports state the pilot - a man in his 20s - has no injuries and managed to pull himself from the wreckage.
Dean Campbell Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector for Southern Highlands said they responded to reports of a "light plane crash".

"We attended to look after the HAZMAT side of the crash," he said.
"It was a lucky escape for the pilot. We had some wires down so that added complexity so we couldn't get too close until the electricity has been isolated.
"It had leaking fuel, so they have cleaned that up. Pretty great outcome for the pilot."
A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed it was a crop duster and that police were headed to the scene.
