Sutton rural firefighter Vikki Bingley has been elected as the Association's State Secretary for the 2021-23 term by NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA).

Ms Bingley has been a volunteer with the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) since 1997, when she joined the Sutton Rural Fire Brigade (RFB).
Since then, Ms Bingley has served in the positions of brigade president and secretary and was its first female field officer.
She has been involved in the RFSA for many years and is passionate about mentoring fellow members, the use and development of new technology and member retention.
Ms Bingley has held executive positons in her local Yass Valley RFSA Branch and on the RFSA State Council. This is her first time elected to the RFSA Board of Directors.
RFSA president Scott Campbell said he is looking forward to working alongside Ms Bingley for the 2021-23 term.
"Vikki has a long history of advocacy on behalf of her fellow volunteers and I very much look forward to working with her and my fellow directors as we support our members in their work protecting the community."
Ms Bingley brings with her professional experience in the fields of customer service, event and business management.
The RFSA is managed by its members and is the authoritative voice in representing the over 70,000 members of the NSW RFS. It offers a broad range of operational and welfare support for volunteers including sponsorship of training exercises, a brigade and district grants program, educational scholarships, Volunteers' Family Days, advocacy and chaplaincy, counselling and family support.
