A man from Goulburn Mulwaree is among the deaths to be reported in what's described as one of the deadliest days in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chief health officer Kerry Chant said 36 people had died in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm Monday.
Among them was a man, aged in his nineties, from the Goulburn Mulwaree local government area.

A man aged in his seventies also passed away in the Bega Valley Shire.
In his mid-morning conference, Premier Dominic Perrottet extended his condolences to the families of those who had lost their lives to COVID-19 in what had been a "very difficult day."
He said behind every number was a loved one who had passed away or a person in ICU or hospital "going through a very difficult time."
The Southern NSW Local Health District confirmed 436 new COVID-19 cases were detected across the vast area in the reporting period.
A total 115 were detected by RAT tests and 321 by PCR tests.
Goulburn Mulwaree recorded 53, Upper Lachlan - 10, Queanbeyan Palerang - 135, Yass Valley - 10, Snowy Monaro - 34 and Bega Valley - 47 cases.
Goulburn Mulwaree has 636 active cases and has recorded 4294 tests in the past fortnight, according to NSW Health. Upper Lachlan has 95 active cases, while 530 tests have been undertaken in the past two weeks.
Anyone who tests positive using a RAT is now required to register their result with Service NSW via the website or app under a Public Health Order.
Registering your RAT result enables NSW Health to provide you with advice on self-isolation and managing COVID-19 symptoms at home, to connect high risk people to clinical care services and to help inform the ongoing public health response.
