People in NSW flood zones are being asked to keep a lookout for injured wildlife displaced by yet another natural disaster.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare says animals will be trying to escape floodwaters and could increasingly come into contact with people while searching for food and shelter.
The organisation expects "an influx of displaced, injured and orphaned wildlife" and wants people to report any distressed animals via an app so they can be rescued and cared for.
Wombats, echidnas, and other burrowing animals are expected to be the most heavily impacted as water and mud from the ongoing rainstorms fills their homes.
IFAW's Wildlife Rescue app, available in NSW, can put people in touch with their nearest wildlife rescue organisation to report any injured animals, as well as guide them on the best way to care for the creature until help arrives.
IFAW animal rescue officer Nicole Rojas-Marin said natural disasters have impacted on wildlife over the last two years and "we simply can't afford for our native wildlife to be impacted any further".
The app can also be used to report dead wildlife, which can help with identifying areas where animals frequently come into danger, such as hotspots for roadkill.
