A man has been charged after a five-vehicle crash in Yass last week.

Just after 10am Wednesday April 13 2022, emergency services were called to the Barton Highway, Wallaroo, following reports of a multi-vehicle crash involving four cars and a truck.
Two SUVs, a ute, and a sports coupe were stopped southbound on the Barton Highway at roadworks when the crash occurred with the truck, also southbound.
A female driver of the first SUV was taken to Canberra Hospital suffering serious leg injuries; three children in that vehicle and all other drivers escaped injury.
The truck driver a 59-year-old man was arrested and taken to Yass Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm - drive manner dangerous, and negligent driving (occasions grievous bodily harm).
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Yass Local Court on Friday June 17 2022.
