The highlight of the round was the resounding victory from the State League Five Women’s team, who dominated ANU Blue 4-0.
In the spotlight were Victoria Alley – “[who found] the back of the net after a great cross from the wing and then [took] a brilliant direct penalty shot” – and Iva Velevska, who was “unlucky not to have scored a hat-trick” a Facebook post from the club said.
Renee Oloughlan was voted the Players’ Player by her teammates.
In the men’s soccer, the State League Three team managed a competitive 3-3 draw against ANU.
Meanwhile, the State League Seven team enjoyed a more fortunate outing, and came away winners over Belsouth 3-0.
Lastly, it was a day to rue for the State League Eight side, who were thrashed by Belsouth 10-0.
