Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman issued a statement on Thursday to say there were two successful Moss Vale applicants of 31 who applied in the electorate.
Moss Vale High School Community Cafe and Moss Vale Golf Club will receive $68,690 and $162,730 in NSW government funding, respectively, Mrs Tuckerman said.
There was more than $24 million available for projects across the state.
My Community Project invites locals to put forward an idea for state government funding of benefit to their community each year.
Everyone is then invited to vote for their favourite project, with successful applicants those with the most points.
The Yass Valley projects that applied for funding were:
- Gundaroo Park Playground shade and Sustainable Power Project (1,062 points)
- Murrumbateman Tennis Club lighting upgrade (691 points)
- Time Line Stones in Yass (673 points)
- Binalong walk and cycle path (441 points)
- Binalong P&C Playgroup outdoor playground (410 points)
- Binalong Tennis Court resurface (301 points)
- St Peter's Church Hall in Sutton (272 points)
Local artist Roger Buckman, who applied for funding for Time Line Stones, said he would keep looking at other funding options.
"I've connected with a group of people who are happy to look at grants. We may be better at going for a tourism grant," he said.
Mr Buckman was disappointed he wasn't successful but thanked everyone who voted for his project.
"Thank you to all who supported, it's encouraging and we'll find another way to make it happen," he said.
Binalong P&C Playgroup's Fabia said the organisation had been lucky enough to receive a donation from Goldwind for a cubby house and from Bowning Lions for a second-hand outdoor furniture setting.
She said the P&C would keep fundraising to build the outdoor playground for the playgroup's children and parents and apply for My Community Project funding again next year.
The P&C will also hold a raffle to raise funds at the Binalong Community Markets on November 3.
"Thank you to those who voted for our project. We'll try again next year," Fabia said.
Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman thanked all applicants and sponsors for taking the time and effort to develop their ideas and promote their projects along with the members of the community who voted.
"My Community Project captured the imagination of the community with people putting a lot of work into their ideas and it was great to see people get behind the projects that matter to them," Mrs Tuckerman said.

"These projects came from the community and were voted on by the community and I now look forward to seeing applicants and sponsors getting on with the job of rolling out these projects and the benefits they will provide to the local community."
